‘No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognised by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thorn-bushes, or grapes from briers.’ (Luke 6:43-44)

We’ve reached the end of Jesus’ sermon, and a pause in our look at Luke’s Gospel. Jesus uses two parables to help us see what it means to follow him. First he goes to gardening: you can tell what a tree it, by what fruit it grows. Later in the passage, he moves to architecture: buildings on the right foundation will stand firm, buildings without a foundation will fall.

You would be very welcome to join us at our 10:30am service in St Andrew, Cuffley or at 8:30am for a service of Holy Communion in St Thomas, Northaw, this Sunday, as we listen to Jesus tell us about our lives being built on the right foundations and bearing the right fruit.

We are having some problems with the internet access at St Andrew, we will still try to stream the 10:30 service. If the streaming fails, the video recording will be uploaded during Sunday.  Streaming will start at 10:25am, and can be accessed directly via Facebook or YouTube, found on our website, and is advertised on our Facebook page and YouTube channel.
