There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called (Ephesians 4:1-16, NIV)

As we get settled back into St Andrew's again, we're taking brief break from Luke to look a little at a vision for the church. How has God set up the church? What does God provide for his church? What is the purpose of the church? Why not come along this Sunday, and find out more.

And [Jesus] told them this parable: ‘The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. He thought to himself, “What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.” (Luke 12:16-17, NIV)

This Sunday is our Harvest service. At 10:30, we’ll be collecting donations for Broxbourne Foodbank, and we’re also being joined by Northaw School’s Choir.

Update 26th September 2025

26th September 2025, 10:00 am northaw & cuffley services
Image is a grayscale photo of a building under construction.

The 10:30 service is back in St Andrew.

many of the older priests and Levites and family heads, who had seen the former temple, wept aloud when they saw the foundation of this temple being laid, while many others shouted for joy. (Ezra 2:12, NIV)

As the foundation of the new temple was laid, some shouted with joy while others wept. The great temple built by Solomon had been destroyed just 50 years before, and some older people remembered it, and wept when they saw what was going to replace it. Over the past few weeks we've been seeing how amazing the Kingdom of God is: it changes lives, it changes communities, and it points to a future, perfect, eternal kingdom. Being part of this kingdom is open to everyone: there's no charge, no interview process, and no preferential treatment for some group. This has got to be the best news ever - forgiveness, peace with God, and eternal life, and it's all free. It does, however, require committment, there's no such things as a "part-time Christian!" Why not join us this Sunday as we see why even that is amazing news?

All services are now in St Thomas.

When one of those at the table with him heard this, he said to Jesus, ‘Blessed is the one who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God.’ (Luke 14:15, NIV)

We're still thinking about the Kingdom of God, and what it looks like. Jesus has been describing what it means to be part of God's kingdom, and it's amazing! It's no suprise that someone says "Blessed is the one" who will be part of it. Why not join us this Sunday as we see more about the Kingdom of God and the invitation to be part of it.
