I hope that this email is useful, and that you are able to spend a few minutes at noon each day, as we pray together as a church family.  Please do keep sending your prayer suggestions to me, so that we can make sure we are praying around the needs, burdens and encouragements of our whole church family.

Praying for the Parish

Please pray this week for all in these roads:

  • Brookside Crescent
  • Burleigh Way

The Collect for 18 - 23 October

God, the giver of life, whose Holy Spirit wells up within your Church: by the Spirit’s gifts equip us to live the gospel of Christ and make us eager to do your will, that we may share with the whole creation the joys of eternal life; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen

Monday

You could pray about something from the service on Sunday, for example: something you are grateful for, a change you would like to make in your life, or someone you particularly want to pray for.

Please pray for Northaw School Governors, as they interview for a new headteacher today.

Please also pray today for Samoa, San Marino, and Sao Tomé & Principe.

Tuesday

You could pray for global situations which are on your mind. You could pray for wisdom for leaders; for peace where there is war; for resources to get quickly to where they are needed, and for generous hearts for those who are in need.

Please also pray today for Saudi Arabia.

Wednesday

You could praise and thank God for any blessings that you are grateful for at the moment; for home, family, health, financial security, church family, weather, or anything else which is a particular blessing at the moment.

Please also continue to pray today for Saudi Arabia.

Thursday

You could pray for our community in Northaw and Cuffley, praying for the people you meet regularly, both in and out of the church family. You could pray that God will warm hearts to him, and grow his kingdom in our parish.

Please also pray today for Senegal.

Friday

You could pray especially for those we know with on-going needs, who need stamina, respite or special care at the moment.

Please also continue to pray today for Senegal and for the Seychelles.

Saturday

You could pray for yourself, for your growth in the knowledge and love of God. You could pray with the apostle Paul:

That you may be strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. (Colossians 1:11-12)

Please also pray today for Kosovo and Serbia.
