Going with the Gospel

What is the basic purpose of any church? As part of our mission plan, we put it like this:

The Parish of Northaw and Cuffley exists to glorify God, to grow disciples, and to share the good news of the gospel in word and action.

We’ve come to the last of our four weeks looking at this purpose together. Over the past three weeks we’ve considered Knowing the Gospel, Growing in the Gospel, and Showing the Gospel. For our final Sunday, we’re thinking about how we can be Going with the Gospel.

Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. (Matthew 28:18-20)

A Brief Report on the PCC meeting held 4th October 2021.

A dark and dismal evening for the PCC was brightened by the vicar arriving at the meeting with a large box of chocolates under his arm which he placed on the table. With 11 of the possible 12 members present they would not go far but it was a nice thought even if it did take him until Item 10 to open them.
